The San Antonio Home Buying OODA Loop

What is this “OODA Loop” and what does it have to do with San Antonio home buying?  The OODA Loop is a decision cycle concept that was created by an Air Force commander Colonel John Boyd.  The concept is usually associated with military combat operational tactics and planning however the decision cycle can be used in many, if not all, aspects of life – including home buying.  I want to explore with you the OODA Loop and how it can apply to buying your Helotes home.

So what does “OODA Loop” stand for?

OODA is an acronym for:

Observe

Orient

Decide

Act

And then “Loop” refers to the idea that once the decision comes full circle, it resets till the next decision cycle starts.  If the decision cycle gets interrupted by something such as the buyer is unable to fully qualify for the loan, the decision cycle gets reset and starts right at the beginning.

In my first blog series we are going to break down each section of the decision cycle and explain how it relates to San Antonio Real Estate and your San Antonio home buying decision.  It’s important to understand the decision making process/cycle of home buying so not only can you understand how you are thinking, but how the seller may be thinking and you can easily identify the next stage in the process of buying your home.  Stay tuned to my San Antonio real estate blog for more posts explaining the decision cycle for buying San Antonio homes!
